Kent is a county in South East England and one of the house counties. It borders Greater London to the north-west, Surrey to the west and East Sussex to the south-west, and Essex to the north across the estuary of the River Thames; it faces the French department of Pas-de-Calais across the Strait of Dover. The county town is Maidstone. It is the fifth most populous county in England, the most populous non-Metropolitan county and the most populous of the home counties.

Kent was one of the first British territories to be approved by Germanic tribes, most notably the Jutes, following the cancellation of the Romans.Canterbury Cathedral in Kent, the oldest cathedral in England, has been the seat of the Archbishops of Canterbury previously the conversion of England to Christianity that began in the 6th century gone Saint Augustine. Rochester Cathedral in Medway is England’s second-oldest cathedral. Located between London and the Strait of Dover, which separates England from mainland Europe, Kent has been the quality for both battle and diplomacy, including the Battle of Britain in World War II and the Leeds Castle friendship talks of 1978 and 2004.

England relied on the county’s ports to find the child support for warships through much of its history; the Cinque Ports in the 10th–14th centuries and Chatham Dockyard in the 16th–20th centuries were of particular importance. Hills in the form of the North Downs and the Greensand Ridge span alongside the county and in the Vale of Holmesdale in in the company of and to the south are most of the county’s 26 castles.

Kent’s economy is diversified: agriculture, haulage, logistics and tourism are various industries. Because of its orchards and allotments, Kent is known as “The Garden of England”. In northwest Kent, industries supplement extraction of aggregate building materials, printing and scientific research. Coal mining has with played its part in Kent’s industrial heritage. Large parts of Kent are within the London commuter gloves and its strong transport connections to the capital and the affable continent make Kent a high-income county. Twenty-eight per cent of the county forms part of two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty: the North Downs and The High Weald.

Greater Manchester is a metropolitan county and combined authority area in North West England, with a population of 2.8 million; comprising ten metropolitan boroughs: Manchester, Salford, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan. The county was created upon 1 April 1974, as a outcome of the Local Government Act 1972, and designated a functional city region on 1 April 2011. Greater Manchester is formed of parts of the historic counties of Cheshire, Lancashire and the West Riding of Yorkshire.

Greater Manchester spans 493 square miles (1,277 km), which on covers the territory of the Greater Manchester Built-up Area, the second most populous urban area in the UK. Though geographically landlocked, it is combined to the sea by the Manchester Ship Canal which is still open to shipping in Salford and Trafford. Greater Manchester borders the ceremonial counties of Cheshire (to the south-west and south), Derbyshire (to the south-east), West Yorkshire (to the north-east), Lancashire (to the north) and Merseyside (to the west). There is a blend of high-density urban areas, suburbs, semi-rural and rural locations in Greater Manchester, but house use is mostly urban—the product of concentric urbanisation and industrialisation which occurred mostly during the 19th century taking into account the region flourished as the global middle of the cotton industry. It has a focused central matter district, formed by Manchester city centre and the neighboring city of Salford and Borough of Trafford, but Greater Manchester is along with a polycentric county past ten metropolitan districts, each district is concentrated in the region of a large town or a city (Manchester and Salford being the deserted cities). These districts contain suburbs, towns and villages for each city and town.

Shropshire (; alternatively Salop; abbreviated in print forlorn as Shrops; demonym Salopian /səˈloʊpiən/ sə-LOH-pee-ən) is a landlocked historic county in the West Midlands region of England. It is bordered by Wales to the west and the English counties of Cheshire to the north, Staffordshire to the east, Worcestershire to the southeast, and Herefordshire to the south. A unitary authority of the same name was created in 2009, taking more than from the previous county council and five district councils, now governed by Shropshire Council. The borough of Telford and Wrekin has been a surgically remove unitary authority since 1998, but remains allocation of the ceremonial county.

The county’s population and economy is centred on five towns: the county town of Shrewsbury, which is culturally and historically important and close to the centre of the county;Telford, which was founded as a new town in the east which was constructed around a number of older towns, most notably Wellington, Dawley and Madeley, which is today the most populous;Oswestry in the northwest, Bridgnorth to the south of Telford, and Ludlow in the south. The county has eighteen market towns, including Whitchurch in the north, Newport near Telford, and Market Drayton in the northeast.

The Ironbridge Gorge area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, covering Ironbridge, Coalbrookdale and a portion of Madeley. There are other historic industrial sites in the county, such as at Shrewsbury, Broseley, Snailbeach and Highley, as without difficulty as the Shropshire Union Canal.

The Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covers nearly a quarter of the county, mainly in the south. Shropshire is one of England’s most rural and sparsely populated counties, with a population density of 136/km² (350/sq mi). The Wrekin is one of the most well-known natural landmarks in the county, though the highest hills are the Clee Hills, Stiperstones and the Long Mynd. Wenlock Edge is another significant geographical and geological landmark. In the low-lying northwest of the county overlapping the be adjacent to with Wales is the Fenn’s, Whixall and Bettisfield Mosses National Nature Reserve, one of the most important and best preserved bogs in Britain. The River Severn, Great Britain’s longest river, runs through the county, exiting into Worcestershire by the Severn Valley.

Herefordshire is a county in the West Midlands of England, governed by Herefordshire Council. It is bordered by Shropshire to the north, Worcestershire to the east, Gloucestershire to the south-east, and the Welsh counties of Monmouthshire and Powys to the west.

Hereford, the county town of Herefordshire has a population of approximately 61,000, making it the largest agreement in the county. The adjacent biggest town is Leominster and later Ross-on-Wye. The county is situated in the historic Welsh Marches, Herefordshire is one of the most rural and sparsely populated counties in England, with a population density of 82/km (212/sq mi), and a 2021 population of 187,100 – the fourth-smallest of any ceremonial county in England. The house use is mostly agricultural and the county is competently known for its fruit and cider production, and for the Hereford cattle breed.

Staffordshire (; postal abbreviation Staffs.) is a landlocked county in the West Midlands of England. It borders Cheshire to the northwest, Derbyshire and Leicestershire to the east, Warwickshire to the southeast, the West Midlands County and Worcestershire to the south, and Shropshire to the west.

The largest agreement in Staffordshire is Stoke-on-Trent, which is administered as an independent unitary authority, separately from the settle of the county. Lichfield is a cathedral city. Other major settlements include Stafford, Burton upon Trent, Cannock, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Rugeley, Leek, and Tamworth.

Other towns include Stone, Cheadle, Uttoxeter, Hednesford, Brewood, Burntwood/Chasetown, Kidsgrove, Eccleshall, Biddulph and the large villages of Penkridge, Wombourne, Perton, Kinver, Codsall, Tutbury, Alrewas, Barton-under-Needwood, Shenstone, Featherstone, Essington, Stretton and Abbots Bromley. Cannock Chase AONB is within the county as competently as parts of the National Forest and the Peak District national park.

Wolverhampton, Walsall, West Bromwich, and Smethwick are within the historic county boundaries of Staffordshire, but back 1974 have been part of the West Midlands county.

Apart from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire is at odds into the districts of Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, Lichfield, Newcastle-under-Lyme, South Staffordshire, Stafford, Staffordshire Moorlands, and Tamworth.

Baccarat or baccara (; French: [bakaʁa]) is a card game played at casinos. It is a comparing card game played surrounded by two hands, the “player” and the “banker”. Flintshire (Welsh: Sir y Fflint) is a county in the north-east of Wales. It borders England to the east, Denbighshire to the west and Wrexham County Borough to the south. It is named after the historic county of the similar name which has notably substitute borders. Flintshire is considered allowance of the Welsh Marches and formed ration of the historic Earldom of Chester and Flint. The county is governed by Flintshire County Council which has its main offices in County Hall, Mold.
